Woman tripped up in Fleet

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was tripped up in Fleet.

The incident occurred between 8pm and 8.45pm on Sunday, July 6 as a 34-year-old woman was walking along the canal tow path.

She noticed a group of three young men and as she passed, one of the men put his leg out and tripped her up causing her to fall to the floor.

The victim's dog began to bark and the three men ran off laughing.

The other men were also white and aged in their early 20s. One was 5ft 6 and the other 6ft tall.

PC Campbell Patrick from Aldershot police station said:

"The victim was walking along a popular route and was tripped up for no reason.

Luckily she wasn't injured as a result of the incident but the action of these men could have had more serious consequences.

I would like to talk to these men about their behaviour and would ask anyone who witnessed three men in the area or has heard anyone talking about this incident to contact me."
