Thousands of pounds of antiques stolen from shop in Eversley

Detectives in Aldershot are appealing for witnesses and information after a high-value burglary at an antiques shop in Eversley.

At about 2.30am on Thursday, September 25, unknown offenders broke into the barn in Church Road, which is used as an antiques shop. The door was damaged to enable the offenders to gain access to the property.

Once inside they stole silverware, jewellery and other antique items which are valued at in excess of £15,000.

Acting Detective Sergeant Gavin Whyte said:

"It is believed a number of people were involved in this incident and they may have been wearing masks to cover their faces.

Did you see anything suspicious in the area in the early hours of Thursday? Have you heard people talking about having items like those stolen, for sale?"

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Aldershot CID on 101 or call the charity Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
